This spring, the Apricus founder fulfilled a long-held dream by walking a camino. Not the most known, but the original and oldest pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, the Camino Primitivo. Discover the remarkable history behind this Primitivo route by watching the video below.
WONDERING:
The Camino Primitivo is the original pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, first walked by King Alfonso II in the 9th century.
Beginning in Oviedo, Asturias, it crosses the breathtaking Cantabrian Mountains before winding through Galicia to Santiago. Renowned as the oldest—and one of the most physically demanding—Camino routes, its dramatic landscapes, rich heritage and UNESCO recognition make it a truly unforgettable journey.
Route: Oviedo → Santiago de Compostela
Distance: approx.320 km
Duration: 12–14 walking days
Walked: 20 April - 4 May, 2026
