Contract: where processing is necessary to provide a service you have requested or to take steps before entering into a contract with you.

Consent: where you have freely and clearly agreed to a particular use of your information, such as certain marketing communications or, where required, processing special category information.

Legitimate interests: where processing is reasonably necessary for our legitimate business interests and those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

  • provide the requested resource or result;

  • understand your interests;

  • improve our resources and services;

  • send follow-up communications where you have appropriately consented to receive them.

Where a quiz involves profiling or categorising your preferences, the result is intended as a wellbeing, reflective or creative experience and is not a medical, psychological or diagnostic assessment.

Apricus provides experiences including embodied coaching, individual and group coaching, sensorial wellbeing journeys, sound therapy, creative and sensory experiences, workshops and related services.

Information shared during these experiences is treated as confidential within the limits of our legal and professional obligations.

You should only provide information that is relevant and necessary for the service.

Apricus services are intended to support reflection, wellbeing, personal development and lived experience. They are not intended to diagnose, treat or replace medical, psychological or psychiatric care.

12. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

These measures may include appropriate access controls, secure systems, passwords, restricted access and the use of reputable service providers.

However, no online transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Where required, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device.

You can manage cookies through your browser and, where available, our website cookie settings.

16. SOCIAL MEDIA

Apricus may maintain profiles and pages on social media platforms.

When you interact with us through social media, the relevant platform may collect and process information according to its own privacy policy and terms.

We may receive information that you choose to make available to us through those platforms.

We encourage you to review the privacy settings and policies of any social media platform you use.

17. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO AND TESTIMONIALS

From time to time, photographs or video may be taken during Apricus events or experiences.

Where an image or recording identifies you and we intend to use it for promotional, editorial or marketing purposes, we will seek appropriate permission where required.

We will not publish a testimonial or personal story attributed to you without appropriate permission.

If you have previously given permission for an image, testimonial or other content to be used and would like to withdraw that permission for future use, please contact us.

18. CHILDREN

Our services and communications are not knowingly directed towards children.

If you believe that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

19. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING AND PROFILING

Some Apricus quizzes or experiences may use answers you provide to generate a wellbeing archetype, reflective result or other personalised content.

These results are designed for educational, reflective or wellbeing purposes and are not intended to make decisions about your eligibility, health, employment, credit or other matters with legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not use wellbeing quiz results to make significant automated decisions about you.

20. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, legal requirements or how we process information.

When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
